• “I sought out Amy right after I found out I was pregnant. I was simply overwhelmed with all of the information and care…let alone my changing body. I was so lost. But with Amy I was found. It was the single best choice I made for the care of me, my growing baby, and my partner. Amy sent us over a detailed worksheet/questionnaire that really helped us form my initial thoughts and feelings about how I wanted this pregnancy and birth to go. Which was so helpful because as a first time mom, I didn’t really know what or how I wanted anything! When we first met Amy for our prenatal visit she answered all of our questions with visual aids, books, and resources. She taught us in an approachable manner. She guided me through having a plan before, during, and after baby. It was about the first time in my pregnancy that I wasn’t terrified. She made me feel so exhilarated to have this baby. Come 36 weeks. Amy diligently checked in with me every week and every doctors appointment. I was 40 weeks and 1 day when my doctor informed me she thought it was best I was induced. I called Amy immediately, she talked me through the pros and cons (this was the first of many deviations from my original birth plan). Amy helped me make an educated empowered decision. I chose to go through with the induction. She told me that she would be there shortly to support me. Amy glided into my room on a rolling cloud of tranquility, her big bag of goodies, and her signature warm smile on her face. I exhausted myself the first few hours in unmedicated labor. Amy coached me through every second with several techniques. When it got to the point that I had to reassess my original birth plan entirely, my ego was slightly hurt. Amy reassured me again and again that I still had the power to birth this baby. It was a pivotal moment in my birth journey. Having her guide me through choices at that point is what really made my birth an amazing experience. Amy supported me through 15 more hours of labor. She made sure I was comfortable. She made sure I was happy and healthy. Every time the midwives or nurses, she really took charge and got involved. She explained anything the nurses didn’t. Which was such a relief for my partner and I. When my baby was ready to make her entrance. Amy even held one of my legs while I delivered my daughter exactly how I wanted. Amy’s guidance, education, and support 100% facilitated my perfect labor and delivery experience. Because of her, I was so confident in my labor and delivery. I knew Exactly what to do after baby was born. Amy facilitated the absolutely perfect birthing experience for me. My family and I will be forever grateful to her for some of the most important moments in my life.”

  • “I worked with Amy for the birth of my second child. This was my first time hiring a doula and I wasn't sure what to expect, but Amy had all the info I needed. She walked me through the process of creating a birth plan, thinking of questions to ask that I hadn't considered and helping me sort through my feelings about the upcoming birth. My first child's birth was somewhat traumatic, so Amy's calm presence and educated questions helped me process that experience and trust that the next could be different. When my early contractions started, Amy provided helpful suggestions for pain management, and when that labor turned out to be very fast (my daughter arrived before Amy or my husband, and before we could get to the hospital), Amy stayed calm in the unexpected circumstances and helped me stay calm too. She also demonstrated great flexibility in her services, actively listening to what I needed instead of defaulting to what a doula 'should' do. Even if the birth didn't go according to plan, I was very grateful for Amy's steady presence, wealth of knowledge, and adaptability. I recommend working with her!”

  • “We hired Amy to be our birth doula when I was in my second trimester. I was looking mostly to have someone with experience and a calming energy in the room in case there was support that my partner and mom couldn’t give me. She gave us that and more! She was so warm and comforting and we instantly felt very safe with her. She came into our home, taught us so much, reassured us and let us ramble about all of our pets and hobbies. At the hospital she was such a knowledgeable, calming presence. She put on candles and a diffuser and was so helpful with keeping me feeling informed and confident at every step of our induction. She stepped in and helped take photos of the birth when I decided I wanted that last minute. 10/10, it was a wonderful experience! We will forever be grateful that she helped bring us our sweet Abigail. We love Amy!”
